Contrast Community

What's the meaning of a Contrast Community? For years, centuries actually, this nation has been a contrast community. We were always different. No other nation could compare to us. Although, many countries wished to be like us. France, for example, told our founding fathers that they wanted to be like America, but we told them that with the way they acted and lived their lives, it would never work out. And so, we always stood out, people from all over the world wanted to come to this nation, and most of them were willing to do anything to do so. To learn English, and to study American history, and to know what we truly are all about. They were willing to take any classes that would provide them with that knowledge. We as America, were looked up to and respected, we were the moral leaders of the world. But then the progressive movement came about headed by Theodore Roosevelt in the late 1800's. He wanted this nation to progress, which doesn't sound so bad at first, but you have to look at what we were wanting to progress towards. Our founding fathers knew that we were a flawed people, knowing that we would never be able to perfect ourselves to the fullest. The progressives think we can. So, in actuality, the progressives wanted to take us back to the beginning. Before our founding fathers left Europe. They're talking about how we need to be more like France, when not too long ago France was wanting to be like us! And so we are losing our identity. And what happens when we lose our identity? We are no longer separate, we don't stand out. We are no longer a contrast community. This is what our founding fathers warned us about. We, as not only Americans, but as Christians, must re-gain our identity. Not just for the sake of this generation, but also for the sake of the next generations.

National Day of Prayer

Pres. Obama has done away with the National Day of Prayer, because he was afraid of offending someone. Well, it seems like he failed, because millions of people in this nation are offended by this including me. What do you think about his decision?

Obama Care won't take effect until 2014

Pres. Obama's health care plan will not take effect until 2014, but get this, taxes take effect immediately. That means that we will have to pay for health care four years in advance. So, in other words, we have to pay for Obama Care up front four years before we receive any benefits. Now, at first glance, that doesn't sound too bad, but all of the money we give the govt. will be put in a "safe" lock box, which, again doesn't sound too bad, but what will the govt. do with the money? They will have unlimited access to it, most of it won't even be used for health care, Obama's administration is going to spend all of it before 2014, but even if they don't spend a single penny of that money, they will still fall short, when 2014 comes around, even if they haven't spent it, we still will not have enough money for health care and our deficit will continue to grow exponentially. But again, please review. Thanks!

Big Govt. vs Small Govt.

What is the purpose of big Government? Well, I believe it was Thomas Jefferson who said, "If the people fear the Government, then it's tyranny, if the Government fears the people, then it's liberty." The Government was not designed to rule every aspect of the citizens lives. In our world, we have different spheres of life. You have community, God and man, labor, State, family, and Church. In our nation, Pres. Obama and his administration, whether he likes to admit it or not, is trying to control every single one of these spheres. First of all, the State is becoming God, although that began years and years ago. He is trying to take over the sphere of community. Who leads the community? There is no leader. Every individual in the community hold the same responsibility and authority. When I say community, I'm talking about a small or large group of neighbors. He is also trying to take over God and man saying that it should instead be State and man. Now what about labor? Does the Government control labor? No! The people, the citizens control that. In regards to creating jobs, that's our responsibility, it is our job to create jobs. State, is of course the only sphere the government belongs in. What about family? Who's the leader in the family? Besides Jesus, it is the man, then the woman, and then the children. The state has no right to control the family. With them trying to be God, they throw Jesus out, so instead of: Jesus, man, woman, and children, it becomes: State, man, woman, and children. Now, concerning church, who's the leader, again, Jesus, then the elders and pastors, and then the flock, or members. In this sphere, the State definitely has no right to interfere. But again, them becoming God, throws out Jesus and replaces Him within the church, and the state orders us to worship them. Now, we're not quite there just yet, but we're getting close. This is exactly why we should not have a big government. Smaller government is always better. But please comment, I would love to hear your thoughts about it.

Our Morals

When did we forget our morals, our principles. Pres. George Washington said that a government of a free people cannot survive without religion (Christianity) and morality. Our founding fathers intended us to be a moral and religious people. Benjamin Franklin said that he believed in one God, the creator AND Sustainer of the universe. While, Pres. Obama once said, "We are a Muslim nation!!!" Where did this come from!?!? We need to get back to the fundamental principles of this nation and back to our morality. It's like the Titanic. They said that not even God could sink the ship, and that's what ended up happening. Likewise, we have people in Washington who are figuratively saying that not even God could destroy this nation. But He can. Actually, he's already started, when God brings destruction upon a nation, He's not necessarily wiping us off the map, what ends up happening is that the people of this nation are frantically running around not knowing the truth, worshiping false gods (money, careers, T.V, etc, etc.) and not doing what is right. That is true destruction of a nation, of a people. Remember Israel. But anyways, make sure you comment. I'd like to see what you think.

John McCain's Campaign for Re-election

Sarah Palin (former Governor of Alaska) has joined John McCain (R-AZ) to campaign for McCain's re-election in November. In my opinion, this is ruining Sarah Palin's reputation. What do you think?
